Case study — a bespoke bridal motif

Challenge: A designer sought a signature bridal motif combining heirloom lace patterns and botanicals that would work at scale across veils and bodices. Approach: We drafted three motif families, sampled threads and coordinated hand-stitching with a stabilised backing. The selected approach combined satin stitch, subtle metallic highlights and a purl edge for depth. Result: A single motif adapted across three garments and a headpiece, delivered with conservation instructions and textile-safe packaging. The pieces have been archived with a complete maintenance brief.
